Oh, you may say that we’ll get the hour back in October when we change again, but I’d just as soon keep it all year long.
Here in France, we are now 2 hours ahead of Greenwich Mean Time ( GMT), which is time based on the sun.
The only difference it seems to make for me is – to try and get me up and to bed an hour earlier.
I’m going to move when I’m ready, anyway.
Where it annoys me no end, is when in the autumn I have to put the clocks back an hour by moving them forward. Remember you’re not supposed to turn clock hands backwards!
The clock in my car can only move forward, so I have to push the bloody button eleven hours’ worth, minute by minute. In fact, I’ve given up on it, and all through the summer months, it remains an hour slow.
I think we should have a referendum and vote. No one I talk to wants to keep changing the time twice a year.
What about you?
